Ozone

Ozone is a natural gas composed of three oxygen molecules that is formed by the action of UV rays and electrical discharges of lightning. It kills pollutants by cell lysis, a mechanism that alters the cell's internal enzymes, attacks its protective membrane and disrupts it. Unlike chemical disinfectants (chlorine, ammonium salts, etc ...) it does not produce by-products and residues. After sanitizing and deodorising, the ozone is converted back to oxygen within 20/30 minutes. In this interval it is possible to perceive a slight pungent odor, which signals the successful killing of microorganisms by ozone and the correct sanitation of the environment.

Negative ions

Negative ions are generated by sunlight, winds and tides. They are formed in the presence of natural phenomena such as thunderstorms, the breaking of the waves and the roaring of the water of the falls. They are also called "good ions" for their beneficial effects on living beings, people, plants and animals, because they reduce dust, counteract the negative effects due to exposure to electrical devices and help against asthma and allergies, increasing the feeling of well-being within the home environment.

UV rays

UV rays make up about 10% of the light emitted by the Sun and can be reproduced by particular lamps. They are known for their high germicidal power, which significantly reduces the microbial load and for their ability to induce the formation of ozone. They therefore intervene in the sanitization process to support and intensify the sanitizing action of ozone.

Air enters the Ozobox, which captures the oxygen present in the air and transforms it into ozone. A special device projects the ozone molecules into the room, which begin their bactericidal, virucidal and deodorant action. According to the selected program, the production of negative ions and UV rays also intervene to intensify the germicidal action. At the end of the treatment, the recovery system captures the ozone and converts it back to oxygen, accelerating its natural decay process.
